PTT launches project, opens new station Saturday 1st of June 2013

PTT Philippines Corporation (PTTPC), a subsidiary Petroleum Authority of Thailand – Thailand's biggest oil company, continues its effort in establishing its presence in the country. With 58 stations located in Luzon and Visayas, PTT's growth has been robust in the past years and is still continuing its expansion. Last May 28, PTT has opened a new station located in Pajo Lapu-Lapu City.

PTT, a giant oil company in Thailand aims to widen its reach within the country and continue to provide quality petroleum and oil products. According to PTT Philippines Corp. President and CEO Wisarn Chawalitanon, PTT can guarantee quality products given the corporation's strict standards on product quality with their own multi-billion refineries in Thailand.

“Our goal is quality products and service.” said Chawalitanon. “We practice 3G, which means Good quality, Good service, and Good citizen.” he added.

With the good citizen component, PTT launches “Gas Up for a Tree” project in partnership with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Chawalitanon said that corporate social responsibility of PTT in Thailand is a priority.

“We want to show our willingness to give back to the environment and to the community.” said Chawalitanon. They have continuous programs for the environment and the community and would want to replicate the success of those projects here in the Philippines.

“Gas Up for a Tree” project aims to reforest several hectares of land in the Philippines. For every purchase of P1,000 worth of gas or diesel products at PTT station is equivalent to one tree to be planted under customer's name by PTT in Bataan National Park.
